Neck pain affects a large number of people. Neck pain and neck injuries can cause problems with headaches, carpal tunnel related symptoms, whiplash related symptoms and certain shoulder conditions. Studies show that more than 10% of Americans suffer from neck pain at any point in time. There are many factors that cause neck pain including: past injuries that never healed properly, poor posture, prolonged sitting, and lack of periodic spinal alignments are some of the more common factors in the development of neck problems.

Back Pain affects 80% of Americans at some time in their lives. It comes in many forms, from lower back pain to neck pain to whiplash to sciatica. Back pain is not a diagnosis -- it's a symptom of an underlying condition. Common back pain causes include nerve problems, disc problems, osteoarthritis, and muscular problems. Many people find relief from back pain through chiropractic. We combine chiropractic with exercise and physical therapy to ensure a lasting result.

Irritated nerves and muscles in the neck and upper back are often the cause of problems in the shoulder. The nerves from the cervical (neck) spine connect to the muscles and tissues of the shoulder, so if these nerves are irritated, tightening or weakening of the shoulder muscles occur. This leads to a dysfunctional shoulder, usually a mechanically compromised rotator cuff. If one slouches forward while standing or sitting, or if one overuses the shoulder in tennis or golf, or in repetitive motion activities in the workplace, the shoulder joint muscles can become strained or tightened.

Sciatica is a severe pain in the leg caused by compression, irritation, or inflammation of the sciatic nerves, which are thick nerves extending down the back of each leg. Each sciatic nerve consists of five smaller nerves extending from the lower spinal column, which then join together and travel down the legs. The sciatic nerves divide into tiny smaller nerves traveling to the knee, foot, toes, calf, and thigh. The inflammation of any of these nerves is called sciatica.

Studies show that more than 4% of people in the U.S. suffer from frequent headaches (headaches occurring at least 180 days a year). If you suffer from incapacitating headaches, just a few minutes with Our doctors may change your life.

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. Sometimes, thickening from irritated tendons or other swelling narrows the tunnel and causes the median nerve to be compressed. The result may be pain, weakness or numbness in the hand and wrist. Although painful sensations may indicate other conditions, carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common and widely known of the entrapment neuropathies in which the body's peripheral nerves are compressed or traumatized.
